At odds, in knots they twist and turn.
Always upwards but never merged
Wanting’s not without its wounds
little cuts along the way
drips and drops of tender tries
scars and gifts the same
Meticulous carving, shaping, shaving
the facets of clarity embracing
Down below in cold dark dirt
my most precious truth revealed
I hold it in my rooted palm
a glasslike stone well steeled
All these variegations shout “I am I am I am
a bouquet of self untamed huge and radiant”
